This ceramic wall sculpture or "glaze painting" was made using a raku / lustre glazing technique that I developed using a technique from glassblowing modified to work with ceramic glazes. This is not a traditional raku process and is able to develop lustre colors that are permanent and will not oxidize with time. My ceramic glazes are one of a kind and unique from other ceramic artists. The unique work is purely a non-functional wall art piece to be displayed only on a wall and comes ready to hang.
This is a unique piece that shows the recent development to more abstract tiles with the strips of clay woven together to give the piece a feeling of movement that I've been trying to capture in my tiles before this. Layers on top of the woven pattern is the model of the geometric cross that symbolizes intersecting collision of science, material, art and beauty.
Planck's Length is the shortest possible measurement of physical distance. It's the length of a quantum of distance, nothing can be smaller. If it is, it cannot be measured.
